Warm Up the Winter: Fuel Crisis 2024

No One Should Be Cold — You Can Help!

Our annual campaign supports our neighbors needing emergency assistance for fuel, utility, rental payments, and emergency accommodation. With the length of our waitlist reaching nearly 400 households and fuel and utility costs skyrocketing, the need this year is greater than ever!

Help your neighbors now by donating to the fund and buying tickets to annual Warm Up The Winter Concert on March 7.

This year’s goal is $150,000.

Fuel Crisis 2024

“Warm Up the Winter has always provided a winter safety net for those who need it most. Construct usually received $5,000-$10,000 in emergency assistance funds from the state to keep homeless households sheltered during the coldest winter nights. This year, due to the expiration of COVID-19 relief funding, Construct did not receive those funds. Therefore, this event is more important than ever, and we will need to stretch the funds further than ever. For that reason, we recognize this event as ‘Fuel Crisis 2024’, more so than a traditional fundraiser.”

Jane Ralph, Construct Executive Director

“There is hope, and we need to keep pushing forward and keeping our eyes on the prize. There’s a lot of really good people working hard and coming up with creative solutions to tackle this crisis. I think we have made some progress. But as we make progress, the crisis increases in terms of the needs of the residents who have to deal with affordable housing issues…” Read more.
