Information and Application

Windflower is a beautiful estate, just three miles from the center of Great Barrington, It has been operating as an Inn for many years. In response to the current housing crisis in the area we have taken the opportunity to shift the estate from serving as an Inn, to a workforce housing option for employees in South County.

The property’s main house offers thirteen furnished rooms, each with a private bath. There are several shared living spaces, including a kitchen, living area, den, and wrap-around porch. In this space, we have 5 units available for Great Barrington workers, 5 units available for South County employees who make less than 65% of the Area Median Income, and 3 units available as general workforce housing. Unfortunately, we do not provide storage for people residing in the Inn (beyond what one would reasonably keep in their room), and no pets are allowed. While we understand that this will likely serve as temporary housing for some, we do require a one-month minimum stay.

In addition to the main house, there are two smaller, market rate houses available on the property with a one-year lease.

Eligibility for all units will be determined, in part, based on annual income so we will request four current paystubs. We encourage all South County workers who are interested to fill out the application form below.
