Last week, The Berkshire Edge hosted a webinar on the link between housing instability and health outcomes in Berkshire County. Panelists discussed how the region’s housing shortage affects individuals, families, employers, and healthcare systems. Housing professionals were present on the panel to explore potential community responses.
We are proud that Construct Executive Director Joey Lindstrom joined regional healthcare and housing leaders on the panel to highlight the urgent need for affordable housing solutions in our community.
The conversation reinforced an important reality: housing is a healthcare issue. The lack of safe, stable, affordable homes reduces healthcare access and strains physical, mental, and financial health of vulnerable people and essential workers in our community.
