Cassilis Farm Auction — A Huge Success

Thank you to Green Circle Auctions for facilitating the online auction and repurposing—re-homing—of much of the Cassilis treasure. Their fabulous stewardship helped us raise nearly $30K to create affordable housing from which all of the Southern Berkshires will benefit.

Green Circle Auctions not only preserves history but promotes sustainability through the reuse, rebirth and recycling of building parts,  keeping them out of landfills. We are so grateful for their help.

Gregory Stanton of Green Circle Auctions says: “The Cassilis Farm architectural salvage sale held on behalf of Construct, Inc was a great success. Not just from an economic standpoint but also with regard to the tons of waste not sent to our already overburdened landfills, as well as the repurposing of so many beautiful period pieces.”

Stanton continues: “As always, there is a story behind each item and there are new stories, too, as to why it was bought and where it is going. As we know from experience, our buyers are very creative and resourceful and all are more than happy to create new stories.”

And, now, Cassilis Farm will soon be turned into affordable housing for the Southern Berkshires and become home to new families, new stories. Stay tuned!
